The Uganda Dental Association is celebrating 60 years of impact\, and as part of the celebrations\, they’re hosting a free dental outreach at Makerere University Dental School on March 25th\, 2023. The event is sponsored by Colgate and all treatment will be completely free. So mark your calendars and get ready for a day of dental care and fun! \nThe event will run from 8am to 4pm\, giving everyone plenty of time to come and receive treatment. There will be a range of services available\, including dental checkups\, cleaning\, fillings\, extractions\, and more. No matter what your dental needs are\, the skilled professionals at Makerere University Dental School are here to help. \nIn addition to the dental treatment\, there will be plenty of fun activities and giveaways to enjoy throughout the day. SUMMARY:World Oral Health Week Activities
DESCRIPTION:March 20 is the internationally recognized world oral health day as established by FDI. The UDA usually has activities that span the entire week\, and this year will run from the 15th to the 20th of March.\nDue to disruptions brought about by COVID 19\, we will have a limited scope of activities as well as trying as much as possible to limit activities that may encourage the spread of the ncov-19. \nTogether with our partners in the  ministry of health\, the print and visual media as well as the medical field\, we have lined up activities that will focus on creating awareness on oral health\, and drawing people’s focus towards taking greater care of their oral health\, seeing as it impacts greatly on their general health. This year’s theme\, adopted from the FDI theme that will run from 2021-2023 will be “Be Proud of your mouth”. \nUDA Activities will include; \n\nDental Camp at Makerere Dental Hospital\nEducational Video Clips running on TV and Radio for the week\nNewspaper Column on Oral Health Awareness\n\nBy enforcing awareness and promoting public interest in dental health education\, we hope to realize a much orally healthier and informed population.
